By the end of February 2026, I had completed my longest offshore shift to date – a powerful reminder that, out here, nature always calls the shots. High winds and thick fog are simply part of the „office view.“
In this environment, timing is everything. I spent over a week aboard the jack-up vessel Brave Tern, documenting the very first turbine installation for the THOR offshore wind farm. Witnessing engineering on this scale is always breathtaking, but this trip was different. Thanks to my GWO certificates, I was able to capture the installation of a blade from the very top of the generator. It was one of those moments that reminded me why I love being a photographer.
